Just call me Ava the Magician… I can wriggle my way out of *anything*!

My daddy took me outside to play with the kitties. They are funny kitties, they make me smile.

I have the flu and an ear infection today… I am not very happy. Mommy, daddy, and grandma are taking good care of me though :)

Mommy and I came back after only 2 days at the Outer Banks – I got my first ear infection and respiratory infection and I was so miserable and my mama was so worried and wanted to be near my pediatrician back home, so here we are! I got in one really good beach walk (I *love* watching the waves crash) and some short walks near the sound, and I have a new “honorary” grandma – mommy’s friend Michelle’s mom, Lori, who carried me around and loved me up when my ear hurt.

I’m on antibiotics and Tylenol and decongestants, and I am already feeling a little better. Mommy is really spoiling me by being extra tender and carrying me around gently all day. My daddy thinks I sound so cute when my nose is stuffed, but he could not sleep last night, he kept coming to check and make sure I was okay, he is so worried about me, he is very sweet. He is extra gentle to me, it is really helping me to get better.

I am somewhere around 25 weeks old now. I like to kick things, and I LOVE when someone kisses or nibbles on my feet – I laugh out loud. I had my two developmental therapists over this week, and they said that I am *ahead* on everything, except for one thing (grasping things with my hands – I am still far better at using my feet). I am not behind in any way at all, and they are so proud of my progress! My parents are proud too…

It looks like 5 babies live in our upstairs living room. (And this is not even the family room – the *real* playroom!). Can one baby *be* more spoiled than I am? Of course, I really prefer just to be held and cuddled and walked around, but I’m beginning to enjoy my toys more now too (mommy is very VERY happy about that, LOL). See me kicking my kick gym?

I am really starting to PLAY now! Here I am at granny’s house (mommy and I walk to granny’s and great-granny’s every day, often 2 or 3 times!); I have my Whoozit in one hand and I am stomping on my foot piano with my tootsies. I can play the piano for 1/2 hour at a time, I just *adore* that game. After chatting/cooing with my mommy, daddy, or granny, my piano is my second favorite thing on earth! My mommy says I get my musical ability from my birth mommy Jenelle. :)

My mommy and granny weighed me and I am around 13 pounds now. My hair is really thinning (my new hair is coming in right below), but some of it is long enough to put a little bow in my hair now. Some days mommy cannot even grab a shower, but she makes sure that I always look oh so cute :)

Here is a picture of my daddy taking care of me while my mommy had appendicitis. The only thing he could do to settle me was to take me for loooooonnnnggg walks! Don’t tell anyone, but I am totally in kahoots with Jessie dog (see picture) – we work together to ensure 3-4 walks every day! Shhhh…

My daddy carries me around in this pack all the time. He is so proud to be my daddy! We rarely take the stroller anywhere because daddy loves carrying me so much :)

My daddy calls me “turtle”… because when I smile my lips and gums make me look like a cartoon turtle! People are often making me smile… I just love looking at them all the time!

Okay, mommy included this picture only because people have commented that they never see pictures of *her* on this blog. The person I am looking at in the background is the photographer for our upcoming newspaper story… we’ll tell you about that later :)

My auntie Sassi picked out my dress for church this morning… she picked the most frilly, flouncy, girly dress I have! She cried when she left after the nice weekend we had together; she loves me so so so much.
